Peggy was Director of Animation for The Family Channel, Virginia Beach, Virginia, where she was responsible for the on-air look of the network and developed and oversaw the graphics needed for 2600+ promos for the network each year. Today she is Director, Digital Imaging and Animation, at a Virginia University.
Andrew Quicke spent 25 years writing, directing and producing for BBC television, Reuters Visnews, Clearview International cable television and in the 1980s as President of his own film company Kensington Film Services in Nottinghill, London. He has lived in London, Southern California, Bangkok Thailand and Jerusalem Israel where he was bureau news chief for CBN and Middle East Television. He joined Regent University as Associate Professor of International Broadcasting and has since specialized in film projects. Under his guidance as Executive Producer his students have won 6 CINE awards, 2 Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards, 2 Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Awards, the Communicator Award, a silver at Houston Worldfest and two consecutive first prizes for drama from the Broadcast Educational Association. His new book with feature cameraman Andrew Laszlo entitled "Every Frame a Rembrandt" published by Focal is selling well.
David Kithcart has worked in the field of television and film for more than 20 years. From starting as a lighting grip on film shoots to television reporting and producing, he has had hands on experience at many levels of production. As a graduate student, David freelanced with Christian Broadcasting Network's film unit. At Liberty Broadcasting Network he won two Angel Awards for lighting direction for Christian PSA commercials and was the producer of their teen talk show "Act It Out." He worked as a freelance producer for Swiss Television and directed Chicago 's Urban Ministries' feature length video "Crackdown." His work with Coastal Video's safety video division earned him a Telly Award finalist recognition. David is currently a senior reporter and coordinating producer for CBN's "700 Club" where his production of "The True Story of St. Patrick" was a New York Film Festival finalist in the religious production category.
H.L. Marks for the last forty years has bought, sold and managed warehouses and apartment complexes while running his import/export business. He and his wife, Jane, Ph.D., moved to Virginia Beach from Los Angeles to semi-retire in 1997 where he continues to buy and manage apartment complexes here in Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Some of Mr. Marks' hobbies and interests include: being an enthusiastic Film Aficionado, The Kiwanis Virginia Beach-Combers Club as President,Ham Radio, KC6RKO with an Advanced Class License; Back Bay Amateur Astronomy Club member; Photography; Sailing; Gourmet Foodie; Travel; Bow Hunting; Active member of the Porsche Club of America. He attends All Saints Episcopal Church here in Virginia Beach where he serves on their Building and Grounds Committee and assists as a Lay Eucharistic Minister and usher.
Kenny Jackson heads our Hawaii based jury. He currently serves as the International Dean, College of Communication at the University of the Nations, Kona, Hawaii. He has a Masters Degree in Communication and has been a freelance filmmaker since 1999. He is presently working on a local television sitcom pilot, based in Hawaii. Kenny has been hired to direct for a company in the U.S. which is the largest producer of original programming for the Discovery Channel (FBI Files; New Detectives series; The Prosecutors series). Kenny also directed two HIV/AIDS educational/training films, funded by the United States Department of Defense, for the Tanzanian and Kenyan militaries. He previously worked as a Producer/Director for a large Christian network where he made two award-winning evangelistic television movies for broadcast in Africa and India, which was seen by several million viewers.
