Competition Entry

How do I enter?

Redemptive Film Festival prefers the cost-saving paperless, International Film Festival Submission System (BrigitFest) found online at http://www.withoutabox.com/login/5386. Through withoutabox, filmmakers throughout the US and Europe may quickly and accurately enter their films in our competition.

Who is permitted to enter?
Any professional or student in any country. There is no amateur category in this festival, so amateur films that are not student films will be judged along with the professional entries. If you have graduated, you may still enter the student category, as long as the film was made while you were a student.

I live outside the US, am I permitted to enter.
Yes, we not only accept international applicants, but we welcome and encourage it. All foreign language films need to have English sub-titles and should preferably be in the NTSC format, although we are able to play PAL on DVD (please let us know if your are sending PAL DVDs so we can send it to our jurors with that capability). For payment from outside the US, please send international money orders only.

What formats do you accept for entries?
Submission formats for the films are mini-DV, Blu-ray and DVD. To ensure maximum compatibility, please burn DVD to DVD-R only. VHS submissions are not accepted.

Do I need to have a press kit?
A press kit is suggested, but not required. Stills and synopsis must be sent via email, or through withoutabox.com. Suggested press kit should include 2 stills from your film, a synopsis, and information about the director and producer of each film.

Is there a limit on the number of films I can send?
There is no limit on numbers of submission. Please treat each entry as a different entity, that is: use a different tape for each entry, different submission forms, etc. However, you may combine different entry fees on a single check. Please make sure you indicate that this is what you are doing.

Where do I send everything?
Checks and money orders should be made payable to "FireWorks International." Please label each DVD or tape with the WAB confirmation number. For Student and Distinctly Gospel Scripts, please send FOUR copies of the script. A copy of the submitted form and the two screening copies of the DVD/tape should be sent to:
